Channeling Innovation - The Icelandic Aluminum Cluster

On 28 March the annual Innovation meetup held by The Icelandic Aluminum Cluster took place at Reykjavík University. Eyrún Linnet, co-founder of Snerpa Power, delivered a keynote speech on Snerpa Power´s software platform and its development and we were grateful for the opportunity to take part in this annual event that gathers so many experts and leaders in the field.

The cluster's main goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of the sector and the value chain around the industry in Iceland.  The cluster is intended to channel ideas, needs, communication, and innovation within the sector. Furthermore, the aluminum cluster is an active forum to express ideas or projects and call for solutions.

From the agenda of the annual Innovation Meetup this year, it was clear that innovation in the sector is thriving and we learned a lot about how the industry is actively working on innovation in the production process and how the material is used for improving components used for different purposes.
