We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Gerard Doorman as the newest member of our experienced Advisory Board. Gerard Doorman's involvement in ENTSO-E activities within the Common Grid Model, balancing and market design, as well as his role as the convener of the ENTSO-E project that developed the 2030 Market Design Vision, demonstrates his deep commitment to shaping the future of the power industry. His broad expertise encompasses power market design, congestion management, balancing, capacity markets, offshore grid, and demand flexibility.

"With the addition of Gerard Doorman to our Advisory Board, we are excited to tap into his extensive knowledge and experience in power market design,"  says Íris Baldursdóttir, CEO of Snerpa Power. "His significant contributions to the field and his role in shaping the future vision of market design make him an invaluable asset to our organization. We look forward to leveraging his expertise to further enhance our strategic direction and strengthen our position in the industry."

His academic background, combined with his practical experience, uniquely position him to provide valuable insights and strategic guidance to our organization.

“The power system is changing in unprecedented ways, driven by rapidly growing volumes of weather dependent generation. Demand will need to adapt to variable generation and contribute with flexibility. While this is a necessity from the power system point of  view, it is also a great business opportunity for industry, with a potential to reduce their electricity bill and increase competitiveness.” says Gerard Doorman. “I am highly motivated to contribute to this development through the advisory board of Snerpa Power.”

The appointment of Gerard Doorman to our Advisory Board represents our commitment to assembling a diverse and exceptional team of industry experts who can guide our organization towards success. We are confident that his strategic insights and profound knowledge will play a vital role in shaping our market strategies and delivering impactful solutions to our clients and stakeholders.
