SnerpaPower Selected for the LeapSprong Program - Marking Expansion into Central Europe

SnerpaPower is proud to announce its selection for the 2025 LeapSprong program in Amsterdam - an open innovation initiative dedicated to turning climate ambitions into action and industrial challenges into opportunities.

Jointly organized by the Municipality of Amsterdam, the Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam (ETCA), and Rockstart, the program helps promising energy and climate innovations reach the market and supports the region’s journey toward a climate-neutral and circular economy.

A Region Built for Innovation in Energy and Data

The Amsterdam Metropolitan Region is not just an industrial hub — it is one of Europe’s leading digital infrastructure powerhouses, home to a dense concentration of data centers and world-class connectivity.
This convergence of heavy industry, renewable integration challenges, and data-driven operations creates a uniquely fertile environment for SnerpaPower’s offering.

For companies facing volatile electricity markets and rising pressure to operate flexibly, Amsterdam represents the perfect proving ground for next-generation energy optimization.

"Entering Central Europe through LeapSprong is a major milestone for us. Industrial flexibility is becoming essential for competitiveness, and this program gives us the partners, insights, and platform to scale our impact across Europe. We’re excited to work alongside Rockstart, ETCA, and the City of Amsterdam to accelerate meaningful industrial decarbonization"
Íris Baldursdóttir, CEO and Co-founder of SnerpaPower.

Scaling Toward a More Flexible Industrial Future

As part of the program, SnerpaPower will collaborate with industry leaders and ecosystem partners across the Amsterdam Metropolitan Region - a diverse industrial cluster with ambitious climate goals. The company aims to explore pilot opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and refine its offering for a broader European market.

Looking ahead, SnerpaPower’s ambition is to support more than 100 industrial sites across Europe within five years and unlock gigawatts of flexible capacity to help accelerate industrial decarbonization.
