Snerpa Power at SLUSH 2022

We attended SLUSH in Helsinki for the first time on 16-18 November and what an experience! This large startup and tech event held in Helsinki, Finland, every year certainly facilitates meetings between founders of startups and investors in a fun and innovative environment where you can have one-on-one meetings, take part in pitching competitions or join multiple side events organized by small and large players. Slush aims to build a worldwide startup community and this year around 13.000 participants entered from all over the world.

Íris Baldursdóttir, Co-founder and CEO of Snerpa Power, took part in a panel discussion at a breakfast event organized by the Nordic Innovation House in the morning of 17 November. Although it was an early, dark and cold morning in Helsinki, the event was sold out. The important topic attracted a large audience, and we were not surprised as the title was: “How to Scale Nordic Sustainable Solutions Globally?”. Íris highlighted a few trends that urgently need our focus: Energy efficiency, flexibility and digitalization as well as working across sectors and finally create new business models where true and sustainable value is reflected.

At an event organized by Business Iceland, “Let Us Snow You”, 60 Icelandic startups with global ambitions met with investors to present their ideas and share experiences.

Slush also provided many one-on-one meetings with brief but interesting exchanges that will be continued after SLUSH.
